teaching for students in vocational education

From April 27, it will be open to students in vocational studies at Vg2 and Vg3 levels to be taught at school. Otherwise, Vestland County passes on the measures introduced in the fight against the coronavirus.

"We are following the decisions of the government and the health authorities, and we are pleased that we are now seeing the effect of the strict restrictions that have been introduced", says County Chief Executive Rune Haugsdal.

The upper secondary schools, most dental clinics and the county administration in Bergen, Førde and at Leikanger will thus be closed after Easter.

The pupils continue to follow teaching via digital platforms, but vocational pupils at Vg2 and Vg 3 levels will as far as possible receive tuition at the school from April 27,  if this can be done in a contagious professional way. Pupils should get detailed information about this well in advance of start-up.

Acute dental treatment

The dental clinics are still accepting patients with an urgent need for treatment by appointment. Other employees in the county municipality shall, to the greatest possible extent, carry out their home duties, also in the future ahead.

Reduced public transport offers

The route offer for buses and the Bybanen show up with reduced departures corresponding to summer routes or school-free.

"I would like to take the opportunity to pay tribute to both pupils and all our employees - in school, in dental health, in road and collective operations and in administration - for the way they have handled this special situation so far. I join the call of the Prime Minister to stand together, to act in control and to take action over time, and look forward to the gentle reopening of society from the end of April", says Rune Haugsdal.
